Sandy Hook Birding

Sandy Hook Birding

Overview

Late September can be excellent for migratory songbirds and other species at this coastal hotspot.

Autumn birding at the hook: we may encounter anything from shorebirds and terns to flycatchers, sparrows, and warblers. A wide variety of habitats ensure good bird diversity at one of the state’s best spots. Bring lunch and be prepared for walking over flat and sandy terrain. Meet at Parking Area B about half way down the lot by the restrooms. Led by Linda Mack, Chris Daly, and Jonathan Klizas.
