In addition to being a Church home to its congregation, Higher Plain also operates a K-12 private Christian school. The church also regularly hosts political functions such as Republican party meetings and conventions and is a polling place for elections. According to a recent Family Research Council report, "Hostility and violence against churches in America is at an all-time high." There were more than 430 incidents in 2023—more than double the number in 2022. That's an 800% increase in incidents since 2018 and an average of 39 attacks every month.
For these reasons, and many others it has become necessary to upgrade our security system! We will be adding security cameras and other security devices to both the church and the gymnasium.
Not only will we serve a delicious and hearty brunch (biscuits & gravy and many other favorites!), there will also be a silent auction and an important message from our guest speaker!
The first 50 people to buy one or more tickets will be entered to win a custom made “We the People” wooden bench! (Only 1 entry per order, see sample pic below)
