<p>In celebration of <a href="https://lambdaliterary.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lambda Literary</a>’s continued crucial community work, new Executive Director Samiya Bashir wants to <a href="https://secure.givelively.org/donate/lambda-literary-foundation/help-samiya-bashir-raise-fifty-something-thousand-dollars-for-lambda-literary-for-her-fifty-somethingth-birthday" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">raise use her fifty-somethingth birthday as an occasion to raise fifty-something thousand dollars</a> for Lambda Literary. </p><p><a href="https://lambdaliterary.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lambda Literary</a> has been meaningful to so many and at its heart is a celebration of who we are. In her new position, <a href="https://samiyabashir.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Samiya Bashir</a> is stepping into that celebration and bringing herself! Your donations help support all of Lambda’s efforts, from support for emerging writers to the annual awards recognizing LGBTIQA+ literary excellence, to Samiya’s new efforts to build and launch an emergency writers’ fund. </p><h2>And…we get to P-A-R-T-Y!</h2><p>October 29th, from 9pm to Midnight at Pangea in the East Village, we are celebrating with Hors D’oeuvres, queer conviviality and a reading &amp; performance from Ronaldo V. Wilson. </p><p>It&#x27;s Halloween Weekend so Costumes are Welcome in the spirit of the season, but not required. </p><p>Because space is limited, we are asking for advance registration. Donation is NOT required for registration.
