Presentation on how GCI is bridging the digital divide

About this event

  • 1 hour 15 minutes

During the May SAME Anchorage Post Luncheon, we will learn how GCI is closing the digital divide in some of the most remote regions of Alaska. Explore GCI’s 40+ year history of connecting Alaskans, its fiber projects in the Aleutians and YK Delta, as well as the company’s ongoing investment in its infrastructure, workforce and commitment to community.

About our speaker:

Speaker: Sara Rasmussen, GCI

Sara Rasmussen, a fifth-generation Alaskan, served in the Alaska State Legislature Representing the Sand Lake area in the State House from 2019 to 2023. During her tenure, she focused on responsible business development and bridging the digital divide. After leaving the legislature, Sara joined GCI, where she continues to advocate for a thriving and connected Alaska. In her spare time, she enjoys Alaska life adventuring outside in the mountains, golf course, ski slopes, with her husband, and two young kids.
