<h3>Lucian Niemeyer, F.SAME</h3><p><strong><strong>CEO of </strong></strong><a href="https://buildingcybersecurity.org/" title="https://buildingcybersecurity.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong><strong>Building Cyber Security</strong></strong></a></p><p><strong><strong>Lucian Niemeyer, F.SAME</strong></strong> co-founded the non-profit entity, United Coalition for Advanced Nuclear Power to facilitate the use of advanced nuclear reactors to meet federal and commercial energy needs. Lucian’s national security and energy expertise spans five decades in the Air Force, The U.S Senate, the Pentagon, and in the White House Office of Management and Budget. Throughout his professional career, he has strongly advocated for the use of advanced nuclear technology as an integral power source, along with a full range of other sources, to enhance national energy safety, reliability, and resiliency at a time of increasing demand and increased adversarial threats to national electrical grids.</p><p>The Honorable Niemeyer served as an Assistant Secretary of Defense managing the world’s largest real property portfolio valued at a trillion dollars, as well as global energy programs for the Department. Lucian also served the Secretary of Defense as a strategic advisor for critical mission assurance and cybersecurity programs, as an Assistant Secretary of the Navy, and in the Office of Management and Budget at the White House overseeing national security, nuclear, and intelligence programs. For 11 years, he managed the defense energy portfolio for the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services.</p><p>Lucian is an Air Force veteran with 21 years of active and Virginia Air National Guard service. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture, from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Business Administration from The George Washington University, and a Master of National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He is a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers, a member of the National Academy of Construction, is an Honorary Seabee, and actively promotes Standards of Care for cyber safety in the engineering profession.</p>
