Question 1

Do I need to have a complete team to participate?

Accepted Answer

No.  A full team is 5 shooters, but sign up a partial team as a single or and we will hook you up with new friends.

Question 2

Do I need my own shotgun?

Accepted Answer

No.  If you don't own a gun you can still participate.  Since only one team member shoots at time, it is easy to share guns on a team.  Middletown Sportsman's Club also has a limited number of guns you can rent.  If you wish to rent a gun, you need to make arrangement directly with the club yourself

Question 3

Do I have to have to have hearing and eye protection?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  earplugs and safety glasses are required.  talk to your teammates.  most folks have extra of both.  Or contact the organizers.

Question 4

What about inclement weather?

Accepted Answer

The event procedes in cold windy, or rainy conditions.  Severe weather such lightning, thunderstorms, or threat of tornado will cause the event to be paused or cancelled

Do I have to be an experienced shooter?

Accepted Answer

No, sporting clays is fun for folks of all abilities. The event takes place on a closed course with controlled shooting stations.  It is a fun and safe way to begin your shooting experience.  Contact the organizer with any specific questions.
