Curious about printmaking? This relaxed, beginner friendly workshop is a great way to get started.

Join artist Fionnuala McNichol for a four week introduction to printmaking, with a focus on Salt Etching , a simple and effective technique that creates beautiful textures and patterns. No previous experience is needed, and you’ll be guided step by step throughout.

This workshop is based around the theme Pathways & Patterns. Together, you’ll explore ideas inspired by maps, land lines, and natural and man-made patterns /structures, looking at how paths, marks, and shapes can be turned into striking printed images.

Over the four weeks, you’ll have time to experiment, develop your own ideas, and build a small collection of prints.

What you’ll do:

• Learn the basics of printmaking in a friendly, supportive setting
• Explore salt etching techniques step by step
• Take inspiration from mapping, landscape lines, and repeating patterns
• Create your own unique prints to take home

• Start Date: Tuesday, 19th May
• Duration: 4 weeks (every Tuesday)
• Time: 7:30pm – 9:30pm
• NB: You will automaticaly be enrolled for all 4 weeks of the project when you purchase your ticket.
