Join us for a vibrant, inclusive evening of Latin dancing at PCOM every first Wednesday of the month, beginning November 5th!

Whether you’re brand new to dance or have some experience, this event welcomes everyone. No partner or dance background is required—just bring your energy, curiosity, and readiness to move. <h3>About Lead &amp; Follow Roles</h3>In both Salsa and Bachata, we use the terms Lead and Follow rather than gendered labels.<ul><li>The Lead initiates the movement, guiding transitions and maintaining timing and connection.</li><li>The Follow responds to the lead’s cues while bringing their own creativity, musicality, and styling to the dance.</li></ul>Both roles are equally important and available to anyone, regardless of gender identity or expression. Participants are encouraged to choose the role that feels most natural—or even explore both over time!When registering, please select one of the following ticket types to help us balance class pairings:<ul><li>Salsa – Lead</li><li>Salsa – Follow</li><li>Bachata – Lead</li><li>Bachata – Follow</li></ul> <h3>About the Instructor</h3>Tiffany Vlard is the founder and lead instructor of Bmore Urbana, a Baltimore-based Latin dance company that offers progressive classes, workshops, and social events throughout the city.Tiffany has been dancing Salsa and Bachata for over four and a half years and is a certified instructor in Conri-style Bachata, an urban form of the dance that blends modern technique with traditional Dominican roots. She teaches both lead and follow roles and emphasizes connection, confidence, and cultural appreciation in every class.Through Bmore Urbana, Tiffany aims to make Latin dance accessible, inclusive, and fun for everyone—no matter their experience level, background, or identity.

Agenda

Salsa is one of the most beloved and dynamic social dances in the world. In this session, you’ll learn the foundational footwork, timing, and turns that define On1 Salsa, as well as how to connect confidently with a partner. The goal is to help you feel ready to dance socially at Latin events throughout the city.

Salsa Partnerwork (On1)

Originating in the Dominican Republic, Bachata is known for its smooth rhythms and expressive body movement. This class will cover basic steps, turns, and patterns while helping you explore connection, musicality, and styling—all in an encouraging, judgment-free environment.
