ComBounD Ry

Salo RobotHack on Mindstorms hackathon, jonka järjestää ComBounD ry, Yrityssalo ja erinäiset Hacklabit. Tapahtuma järjestetään yhteistyössä Finnfoamin kanssa, joka mahdollistaa tapahtuman haasteradat. Tapahtumassa tiimit kasaavat robotin käyttäen Lego Mindstorms -kittejä. Robottien tehtäväksi tulee suorittaa esterata (Haasteet paljastetaan tapahtuman alussa). Tiimit kilpailevat toisiaan vastaan maineesta ja kunniasta! Suositeltu tiimikoko hackathoniin on 1 - 4 osallistujaa per tiimi.
Osallistujat voivat lainata tapahtuman ajan Lego Mindstorms -kittejä vaihtelevasta valikoimasta EV3-palikoita, Mindstorms-palikoita, Lego-teknisiä osia ja lisävarusteita, kuten stoppereita, legoja, paristoja ja kiinnittimiä. Robotin suoritus arvioidaan seuraavanlaisten kriteerien perusteella:

Tapahtuman tarkoituksena on pitää hauskaa, tutustua uusiin ihmisiin ja oppia uutta!

Tapahtuman aikataulu 
Pe 20.4. 
Klo 19 - Tapahtuman aloitus. Radat ja haaste esitellään osallistujille. Kitit jaetaan lainaan osallistujien kesken
Klo 20 --&gt; Vapaata aikaa rakennella robottia. Ratoja pääsee kokeilemaan vapaasti
La 21.4.
Klo 16 - Robottien rakentelu päättyy! Haasteen virallinen tuomarointi alkaa. 
Klo ~20 - Virallinen osuus päättyy ja tulokset ilmoitetaan. 
La ilta - Su aamupäivä - Robotteja voi vielä rakennella ja ratoja hyödyntää
Usein kysytyt kysymykset:
Onko tapahtumalle ikärajaa?
Minimaalinen ikäraja on 13 vuotta. alle 13-vuotiaat voivat osallistua holhoojan seurassa.
 
Onko tapahtumassa oltava ympärivuorokautisesti?
Ei. Nukkuminen ja lepääminen on tärkeää ja emme edellytä jatkuvaa paikalla oloa. Robotteja saa vapaasti rakennella IoT campuksen alueella, mutta Robotteja ei saa viedä alueelta pois. Mikäli haluat tuotoksesi arvioitavan, on sen oltava valmiina haasteeseen ennen La 21.4. klo 16.
 
Onko tapahtumassa ruokailua?
Tapahtumassa ei ole erillistä ruokailua. Tapahtuma-alueella on kioski, josta saa ostettua pientä purtavaa sekä lämmitettyä omia eväitä. Salossa on useita ruokapaikkoja parin kilometrin säteellä tapahtuma-alueesta.
 
Voiko tapahtumassa yöpyä?
Tapahtuma-alueelta löytyy nukkumiseen varattu tila. Mikäli nukkuma-aluetta haluaa käyttää on suotavaa ottaa oma makuupussi, makuualusta ja tyyny mukaan
 
 Millaiset kulkumahdollisuudet/parkkeeraus mahdollisuudet tapahtumaan on?
Tapahtuma-alueella on runsaasti parkkitilaa viikonlopun aikana. Tapahtuma-aluuelle on noin 1.5km matka Salon rautatieasemalta. 
 
Mitä voin tuoda mukanani tapahtumaan? 
Ota mukaan oma läppäri robottien ohjelmointiin. Me lainaamme Lego Mindstorms setit tapahtuman ajaksi.

Salo RobotHack is a Lego Mindstorms hackathon organized by ComBounD ry, Yrityssalo and multiple Hacklabs.
The event is held in cooperation with Finnfoam. Finnfoam provides the material for the obstacle courses. Read more about Finnfoam <A HREF="http://www.finnfoam.com/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="here" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</A>.
In the event, teams will create a robot using Lego Mindstorms kits that will resolve an obstacle course (the actual obstacles will remain a secret until the start of the event!). The teams compete against each other for honor and glory! The recommended teamsize is 1 - 4 attendees per team.
All teams can borrow Lego Mindstorms kits with a varying stock of EV3 blocks, collection of Mindstorms blocks, Lego Technic parts plus additional parts from a selection of fasteners, stoppers, base legos and batteries for the duration of the event. 
Your robot's performance will be evaluated based on following criteria:

The purpose of this event is to have a great time, meet new people and learn a great deal!

Schedule 
Friday 20.4.
19.00 -  Event begins . Tracks and challenge will be unveiled. The mindstorms kits are delivered to teams
20.00 --&gt; Free time to build your robot(s). Tracks are available for testing.
Saturday 21.4.
16.00 - The robot building ends! The official judging of the challenge begins. 
~20:00ish - Official cource of the hackathon ends. Results will be announced. 
Saturday evening - Sunday morning - Robots and tracks are free to use and play with.
FAQs
 
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Minimum age requirement is 13 without the guardian. Participants under 13 years can attend with an adult.
 
 Do I have to stay in the venue around the clock??
No. We strongly recommend for you to rest and get some sleep. You can freely build your creations in the IoT Campus area but you're not allowed to leave the venue with robots. If you want to get your robot evaluated and qualified it must be ready prior to Saturday 21.4 16.00 o'clock.
 
Is food available in the event?
The venue has a kiosk where you can buy small snacks. You can also warm your meals in the kiosk. There are multiple restaurants within 2 km radius of the event.
 
Can I sleep over in the event area?
Yes, the venue has a separated area dedicated for sleeping. It is strongly recommended to bring your own pillow, sleeping bag and a sleeping pad with you if you wish to stay overnight
 
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The venue has a lot of free parking space available during the weekend should you arrive by car.
The venue is located roughly 1,5 km from Salo railway station
 
What can I bring into the event?
You should bring your own pc or laptop for hacking with the robots. We will lend you Lego Mindstorms kits to use during the event. 
  
Can I update my registration information?
Yes.
