Salesforce.org is proud to host its first Open Source Community Sprint of 2019 in sunny Long Beach, California.

What's an Open Source Community Sprint? It's all about you!

Two Day Main Event:

During the two-day main event, the community of admins, implementation partners, app partners, and developers will come together with a common goal of making the ecosystem around our open source products better for everyone else (lots of laughs and caffeine and food included too). You don’t need to be a developer. Dive into our open source products: NPSP, HEDA, Volunteers For Salesforce, and even our developer tools such as MetaCI/CumulusCI!

Bring your laptop, your ideas and a collaborative spirit. What will you specifically work on? That’s up to you! If you are expecting to be talked at all day while you stare at PowerPoint slides, this is not the event for you. We have some topic suggestions, but what you work on and how you do it is decided by you and your fellow attendees at the Sprint.

Who should attend: System Admins, users, developers, and consulting partners along with app partners who have:

  • Comfortable experience working with our open source products (NPSP, HEDA, Volunteers for Salesforce)

  • Customized Salesforce for their own org or others

  • A Hub profile and is comfortable sharing ideas, answering questions, making suggestions in the community

Breakfast and socializing starts at 8 am. Lunch is provided both days. We'll also plan a fun event on Wednesday night (the 20th) that includes dinner. You're free to do something on your own, but we highly encourage you to join us!

New Optional Half Day Pre-Sprint Event:

New for 2019, join us for an optional half day pre-sprint afternoon on February 19th, before the main sprinting event kicks off on the 20th! This half day event is designed specifically (and is highly recommended) for those who have never attended one of our prior Open Source Community Sprints, and for sprint veterans looking to receive hands-on-training to help get our technical contributors setup on open source tools like CumulusCI, MetaCI, and GitHub.

We'll also cover the product roadmaps so you can see what's on the horizon for the NPSP, V4S, and HEDA.

Tickets are limited, so be sure to also register for this event (same Eventbrite registration page) early.

Who should attend: System Admins, users, developers, and consulting partners along with app partners who:

  • Have never attended one of our Open Source Community Sprints before

  • Sprint veterans and open source lovers who are interested in getting technical hands on training on CumulusCI, MetaCI, and GitHub.

More questions? We have some answers here. We also strongly encourage you to join the Open Source Community Sprint Group in the Power of Us Hub.

Hotel Registration Information:

We have a guaranteed room block at the Hotel Maya at a nightly rate of $229 USD, with check in starting Monday February 18th and check out on Friday February 22nd.
