MILESTONES
Week 1 - S&OP Introduction
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) aligns sales, operations, and finance to balance customer demand with profitability. It starts with refining sales forecasts, then creates a production plan while considering resources. Teams work together to adjust plans as needed, ensuring they match customer needs and business goals. S&OP meetings track performance and adapt to changes, aiming for efficient operations and satisfied customers.
Week 2 - S&OP - Demand & Supply Planning
Supply and demand planning is a strategic process that involves forecasting and aligning the availability of products or services (supply) with customer demand (demand) over a specific time horizon. The goal is to ensure that the right amount of goods or services is produced or procured to meet customer needs while minimizing excess inventory or stockouts.
Week 3 - S&OP - New Product Introduction (NPI)
The new product introduction cycle within S&OP enables organizations to effectively manage the introduction of new products by aligning product development, demand forecasting, capacity planning, supply chain readiness, and commercialization activities. By integrating the NPI process into S&OP, organizations can optimize resource allocation, minimize risks, and maximize the success of new product launches.
Week 4 - S&OP - Launching
Launching an S&OP process begins with securing executive sponsorship and assembling a
cross-functional team to define objectives and scope. Assessing the current state and selecting suitable tools and technologies precede the development of a standardized S&OP framework, accompanied by training for team members. Piloting the process allows for refinement before a full rollout, which involves integration into existing processes and continuous monitoring for improvement opportunities. By following these steps, organizations can successfully implement.
