Get ready for a heartwarming journey back in time with the Senior Walk at Salem Elementary! In this cherished tradition, we're rolling out the red carpet for the Class of 2024 seniors from high schools around Apex, NC. This is a special invitation for our alumni to stroll through the halls of Salem Elementary once again, where it all began for many.
Our youngest group of salamanders will line the halls, cheering and soaking in the inspiration from the achievements of these young adults. It's more than a walk; it's a full-circle moment of pride, nostalgia, and motivation. We remind all participating seniors to wear their caps and gowns for this nostalgic walk.
As seniors revisit familiar faces and places, they'll remind our elementary students and themselves of how far they've come and the limitless possibilities ahead. Don't miss this chance to celebrate growth, achievement, and community at Salem Elementary's Senior Walk. It's a beautiful bridge between the past and the future, connecting generations of learners in a shared journey of education and success.
Parents: We warmly invite you to share this special memory with us. Please join us in the front lobby to celebrate. For our students' safety, we must ask that visits be limited to this area. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Frequently asked questions
Only graduating seniors participating in the parade and former staff members coming to visit need a ticket. This will help us know how many seniors and VIPs to expect on campus the day of the event. Tickets are free, so don't be shy!
All seniors from the Class of 2024 in area high schools in WCPSS who attended Salem Elementary are invited to participate.
Seniors are requested to wear their caps and gowns for the walk.
Yes, parents are welcome to attend. However, parent access will be limited to the front lobby for student safety.
The Senior Walk will start by the main lobby of Salem Elementary and proceed through the school hallways in a loop.
The entire event is scheduled to last approximately 45 minutes.
Yes, photography is encouraged, especially during the photo session at the end of the walk. However, we ask that parents take photos only in the designated area as some children in our school cannot be photographed.
