Welcome to the Open House of 2025 at First Reef Sailing! Come join us for a day filled with excitement and adventure on the open waters. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or a complete newbie, this event is perfect for anyone looking to experience the thrill of sailing. Tour our facilities, learn about our courses and events, check out our training fleet, go for a boat ride and meet our incredible captains and instructors. We will be offering free sailboat rides on our Colgate 26's, hop aboard and dip your toes into the amazing world of sailing. Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to learn something new and have a great time doing it. See you there!

Frequently asked questions

How do I sign up for a free sail?

There will be a sign in sheet at the entrance to our dock at the end of the pier (Look for the big red ship that says Nantucket)! Slots on our sailboats are first come first serve, so be sure to come down early!

What boats can I take a ride on?

We will be offering free rides on our Colgate 26's and 36 foot Beneteau First 36.7 performance cruiser.

Can we park within the marina?

We only have a few parking passes available but there is free 2 hour parking all up and down Marginal St.

What if it is raining?

We will be sailing rain or shine, so be sure to dress appropriately for the conditions.

How do I get to the office?

Continue on from the main entrance of the Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina. Pass the Downeast Brewery with the blue mural on your left and then take the first right. We are in the first doorway on the right in Building #36.
