About this event

  • 2 hours

Each year approximately 300,000 Americans experience out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, many in the workplace. Join us as the American Heart Association and Proactive Safety discuss how workers or the company can effectively assist co-workers during these potentially fatal incidents.

Recent studies show that bystanders' assistance can double or triple the survival rates of individuals experiencing an OHCA.

Speakers will discuss and demonstrate how workers can use hands-only CPR in helping their colleagues and help save lives.

They’ll also discuss how AEDs can be an important addition to a company’s safety tool kit. But it is a decision that should not be made casually.

Speakers:

  • Adria Giordano, Executive Director, Connecticut, American Heart Association
  • Jason Race, Proactive Safety
