About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and trustees or members of a management committee play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of everyone involved in their organisation.

This session will ensure trustees and management committee members stay up to date with the latest safeguarding governance and will help all organisations meet the Charity Good Governance Code.

Participants will develop their knowledge and understanding of:

  • Safeguarding duties and responsibilities within their organisation
  • A Designated Safeguarding Lead and what this involves
  • What is needed in order to comply with good safeguarding practice
  • How to access a range of up-to-date informative resources on good practice
  • How to access further safeguarding policy and procedure support beyond the session.

Participants will leave the training with practical tools to help increase the effectiveness of their organisation or group.
