Come join us for the 2nd Safe Space LA 3d meetup! This one's theme is learning 3d today. And we're switching it up! Instead of talks, we're doing a panel with some of the best creators and teachers we know. None other than Jess Hewitt (VirtuallyVisual), EJ Hassenfratz (eyedesyn), and Jonathan Winbush. Followed by drinks, snacks, music, and friends. Please note that we have limited parking spaces, so please arrive early to find parking on time. There is a good amount of street parking near by, but please make sure to be aware of the posted signs. About Safe Space LA. Over the past few years as motion designers at our studio, <a href="https://laundry.studio/" title="https://laundry.studio/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Laundry,</a> we realized, we don’t have a 3d meetup in Los Angeles. Especially post-pandemic &amp; now working from home, countless artists have said how they missed seeing fellow artists and friends in person.We thought, let’s change that! And, Safe Space was born. A DIY hang out for LA and visiting artists and those passionate about the 3d visual arts.Thank you, let’s get together, let's have some fun, &amp; celebrate our shared passion for 3d &amp; motion! A little about our amazing speakers! Jess HewittJess (@virtuallyvisual) is a Creative Director by day and a 3D artist by night, with a love for all things fuzzy, abstract, and imaginative. Whether it’s rendering knit frogs on Instagram, livestreaming with Maxon for the Cinema 4D 2025 release, or sharing step-by-step tutorials on YouTube, Jess brings creativity and playfulness to everything she does. In just two years of diving into 3D, she’s explored tools like Cinema 4D, ZBrush, TouchDesigner, Daz, Houdini, and more. Her work revolves around tactile textures, playful experimentation, and the joy of bringing ideas to life.Jonathan WinbushJonathan Winbush is a multi-award-winning motion graphics artist with over 15 years of experience working in a wide range of mediums from television, and movies, to virtual &amp; augmented reality. Over his career, Winbush has done work for Epic Games, Marvel, Netflix, DC, Warner Bros, &amp; Happy Madison to name a few.In the education space, Winbush creates tutorials weekly through YouTube as well as speaks at conferences around the world for shows such as Adobe Max, Siggraph, and NAB. Winbush was a part of the YouTube Black Voice Fund and was also recently awarded the MegaGrant by Epic Games to further support his educational efforts.EJ HassenfratzEJ Hassenfratz (@eyedesyn) is a multi-Emmy award-winning 3D artist, motion designer, and Creative Director at the world-renowned education platform, School of Motion, known for pushing the boundaries of creativity in the world of animation. With a career spanning over a decade, EJ has made a significant impact on the industry through his innovative work and dedication to his craft.As a prominent figure in the 3D animation community, EJ is not only an accomplished artist but also a dedicated educator and has the distinction of being a Master Maxon Certified Trainer. He shares his knowledge and insights through workshops, tutorials, and speaking engagements across the globe including the Seoul 100x Conference, NAB, Siggraph, Maxon Japan, and Adobe Video World. He always strives to inspire the next generation of 3D artists to explore their creativity and reach new heights.EJ’s work has been featured in major 3D publications and been shown at trade shows, earning him recognition and respect among his peers. His passion for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in animation continues to drive him to create visually stunning and thought-provoking experiences.
