NC State Extension's food safety manager training and certification test, offering hands-on applications to help learners thrive.

Safe Plates will be offered as a two-day class on Wednesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 26 at the Haywood County Extension Office (589 Raccoon Rd., Waynesville).

You must attend both days of class and pass the test in order to gain your credential!

This is a 12-hour class (8 hours on Wed., 4 hours on Thurs.) followed by the exam on Thursday afternoon.

Class starts at 8:00 am each day and ends at 5:00 pm. There is a one hour break each day from 12-1 for lunch (not provided, but we are about 3 miles from Russ Ave. for food options).

The enrollment fee includes all study materials, the exam, and morning/afternoon snacks!

The instructor for this Safe Plates course will be Andrea Sherrill, a Distinguished Safe Plates Educator and Family & Consumer Sciences Agent in Iredell County, NC.
