Sacred Vedic Fire Ritual (Yagya)

J oin us for a sacred Yagya or Vedic Fire Ritual. There are only 3 other women in the entire world that are trained and permited to facilitate this ceremony.

The themes of this Vedic Fire Ritual while still also working with the New Moon energy, will be releasing karmic ties and contracts.

Vedic Fire Ritual (also known as Yagya) is a Yagya sacred Vedic fire ceremony and has been used from time immemorial to invoke the Shakti of Agni (fire) to purify, to destroy and to transmute trauma, negative emotion & mental habits, and karma.

Yagya, Havana, Homa, Agni Hotra are all Sanskrit words used to describe a yagya.

A havana is a sacred fire ceremony, a part of the technology of the Vedic tradition and it is a very powerful upaya. ‘Upaya’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘technique to remedy or correct energetic imbalances in spaces’. In the Vedic tradition, many different types of havanas exist.

A havana is one of the most powerful things you can do for clearing a space and opening up the energy.

Havanas have been used for thousands of years in the yogic tradition, to open specific gatherings and to support in gaining intensity around an intention. When we can gather intensity around our intention, we can create from that place. That intensity itself becomes a creative force.

We do this with other yogic techniques too, but here it becomes engaged with the elemental reality. It’s an external expression of our internal yagya that we are constantly engaging in, activating our inner fire and burning the samskaras. We are influencing and pouring the intention into the flame and that flame is radiating that particular fragrance.

We will also be enjoying New Moon SSound bath the evening before on 6/8 at 7 pm. For the new moon we will incorporate a Breathwork/pranayama practice based on where the moon is placed based on Vedic astrology. We chant sacred mantras, make fire offerings and move through a sacred ritual together in community.

Important information:The fire ritual will take place outside in alignment with the sunset. Please dress warmly. The rest of the retreat will be indoors at the Center. Layers recommended.

In case of inclement weather, the fire ceremony will be postponed til the next day or cancelled. If cancelled, we will offer a credit for a future retreat day/ceremony as we plan to offer more of these regularly in the 2024 year.
