Is your congregation impacted by homelessness? Do you wish your congregation could be equipped to do something to address homelessness in your area or in the city?  
The twenty four inter-faith members of the Mayor's Faith Based Partnership Cabinet, with the input of homelessness experts, has put together a strategy for congregations wishing to make a difference in the area surrounding them and in the city.  The Sacred Streets approach begins with appointing an advocate in your congregation and getting them trained, and then implementing specific strategies known to work.
On April 18 (10:00-12:00) we will hold a brief training for any person wishing to be appointed an advocate for their congregation and begin the Sacred Streets strategy. Even if you are not sure about being appointed as an advocate, you are welcome to come to hear more about the program. This training is FREE. 
LOCATION: It will be held at Bitwise South Stadium, 700 Van Ness Ave, in downtown Fresno. Park in the Spiral Garage at Inyo and Van Ness and we will give you a voucher for free parking. The event will be in the FPU classroom, downstairs in Bitwise.
