Are you interested in experiencing some ancient, simple, powerful Sanskrit mantras from the yogic tradition? Do you enjoy singing with others? Do you want to explore the comprehensive benefits of chanting? Do you need time and space to rest/heal/restore/explore? Through toning these time tested sonic vibrational sounds along with our collective energy of joy and loving kindness, we will "follow the OM" all the way home to our inner Sacred Center where there is true peace. We will lead some songs from Kirtan artists Krishna Das, Girish, Sam Garrett, Mollie Mendez and others as well as a few originals.

Suggested donation $10-$20, but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.

Tea, Back jacks, bolsters chairs will be available for you to use. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, blanket, whatever makes you cozy. Come ready to sing and connect!

Doors open at 7:00 for tea and conversation, singing starts at 7:30 and we finish around 9 PM. If you would like to bring a refreshment to share, feel free.

Last minute drop-ins are welcomed as well. There is always room for one more!

 Welcome to The Sacred Center

We are an inclusive, life affirming, interfaith, online and local community on Aquidneck Island in Rhode Island devoted to helping people find their sacred center within. Our goal is to offer programming that is deeply nurturing for people of all ages, all genders, all abilities and from every spiritual orientation.

Indoor classes are held year round at the state of the art Common Fence Point Community Center in Portsmouth. Outdoor classes are held all Summer long on Third Beach and the Norman Bird Sanctuary, both in Middletown, RI.

We offer live streamed yoga classes, yoga on demand via our YouTube channel, spirituality book groups, as well as spiritual counseling and commUNITY prayer walks and gatherings. Wherever and however you connect with us, you will be welcomed into an atmosphere and experience of kindness, love, compassion and acceptance. We hope to offer you encouragement on your journey.
