About this event

  • 1 hour

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Physical Ability Test. Testing will be for Deputy Sheriff Recruits, and Non-Affiliate Recruits for the upcoming 2024 Academies as well as Deputy Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff On-Call candidates.

  • Bring your Driver’s License or I.D. card. You cannot test without it.
  • If you are a Deputy Sheriff Recruit or Non-Affiliate Recruit candidate bring a copy of your T-Score results if you tested with an agency other than the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office. The results must be on official letterhead and include your name, date of the exam, and the Total T-Score. If your results were sent via email, bring a printout of the email. Your T-Score must be 42 or higher. If you have already provided a copy of your T-Score, you do not need to do so again. The T-Score you used to apply for Deputy Sheriff Recruit is acceptable. You may complete the Physical Ability Test if you do not have a T-Score at the time of testing.
  • Bring lots of water.
  • Dress in appropriate clothing to run the Physical Ability Testing.
  • No cleats, toe shoes or gloves will be allowed. Running shoes are suggested.
  • Follow directions regarding procedures at the testing site. Being able to follow directions is part of the process.
  • Due to the number of applicants, only candidates who have been invited to testing are allowed on the Training Academy grounds.

The Physical Ability Test must be passed within 6 months of the start of the Academy.
