About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us on Saturday 17th May for Science of Fitness Burleigh's Running Mechanics Workshop. This immersive, educational session is the ultimate experience for all runners, from those trying to reach their first 5k through to ultra runners.

Deep dive into personal biomechanic assessments and Exercise Scientist consultations, expert runner panel, form correction, mitigation of injuries, science-backed mechanics, ways to supplement your training to support your running goals.

What will you get if you attend the running mechanics workshop?

  • A formative understanding of biomechanics and how they apply to the way YOU run!

Every participant of the workshop will have the opportunity to do a handful of running specific assessments on the VALD testing equipment to get a personal understanding of the intricacies behind the system that you run with. We’ll assess the technicalities but give you a simple understanding of what you need to worry about when it comes to running better.

  • An insight into the mechanisms that may be contributing to injury and inefficiency when YOU run

We'll give you an understanding of the relationship from different training modalities. The presentation section of the event takes into account the latest evidence and major components of effective running. We break them down into a digestible “HOW TO” guide, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the do’s and don'ts when it comes to running well.

  • A set of “tools” to understand how you can mitigate mechanisms causing injury and inefficiency

We’ve allocatied time in the workshop to allow for personalised conversations/consultations with our team of Exercise Physiologists & Exercise Scientists. We'll consider the data you recorded during the testing period of the event, how it relates to the content in the event, and what YOU should be doing to build a system that runs well!

So, if you're keen to pound the pavements with more confidence this season, grab your ticket now!
