Runestone Instructor Dashboard Bootcamp

The National Center for Computer Science Education is a partnership of the Computer Information Systems (CIS) department and the School of Education. The Center champions, researches, and provides equitable computer science education opportunities for K16 students and educators.The National Center for Computer Science Education serves as a national leader for education and research at a critical time when there is significant momentum through the CSforAll movement. CSS is one of less than 10 schools in the country that have both pre- and in-service teacher education in Computer Science and is considered an expert in online computer science (CS) professional development. National Center for Computer Science Education

A half-day virtual mini-PD  intended for computer science educators who are using or interested in using an e-book on Runestone Academy.

This half-day virtual mini-PD is intended for computer science educators who are using or interested in using an e-book on Runestone Academy (e.g. Mobile CSP, CSAwesome, etc.). In this interactive and hands-on mini-PD, you will learn how to register for an e-book, set up a custom course, register students, create custom assignments, track student progress, and give students feedback on their work. There will also be time for participants to discuss best practices for using the Runestone Instructor Dashboard. Participants who complete the mini-PD may request a certificate of completion. Details will be shared on how to join full PD for CSAwesome and Mobile CSP in summer 2022.
More about the series:The National Center for Computer Science Education is excited to announce that we are offering a Computer Science Workshop Series during the 2021-22 academic year. This will be a series of virtual hands-on workshops for Computer Science educators. Participants will work with trained computer science teachers and facilitators. At this time credit card payment will only be accepted. We reserve the right to cancel the workshop 7 days prior if the minimum number of attendees is not met. If it is canceled, you will be refunded for the workshop.If you have any questions please email csed@css.edu
