Don your fancy hat, for the ladies and best socks and bowties for the men, and sip some mint julips, as The Alameda Contra Costa (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (ACCL), invites you to our inaugural Run for the Roses fundraising event to support ACCL’s programs serving financial vulnerable communities and local communities of color.

The day will include watching the Kentucky Derby on multiple screens, a silent auction showcasing fabulous prizes and a Fund-A- Need, directly impacting our charitable programs.we watch the 150th Kentucky Derby. Activities include a slient auction and Best Hat and accessory contest to raise funds for our philanthropic programs.

ACCL, boasts a membership of close to 50 dynamic and influential women leaders in the Bay Area. Through volunteer and in-kind services, as well as financial contributions, ACCL supports local social services and community organizations that serve primarily low-income, inner-city youth and their families. Some of our most recent beneficiaries include, Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, St. Leo’s School, and the East Oakland Youth Development Center (EOYDC). With the help of supporters like you, we can accomplish an even greater reach into our communities who are most in need.

The Links Incorporated, founded in 1946, is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture, economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. Our membership is a National and Global sisterhood that delivers transformational programming to serve the community through five focus areas: Services to Youth, Health and Human Services, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services and the Arts.

What is included in the ticket price?

Included in the prices of the ticket is food and 1 drink ticket for wine or cocktails.

Is there a refund policy for tickets?

There are no refunds, ticket transfers or re-entry to the event. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a secure environment for all attendees.
