Capt Scott Thornton

The Fifth Annual Run for C.O.P.S. will kick off the 2019 National Law Enforcement Week with a fun, non-competitive, fitness event for the whole family. The 5k will take place in Historic Downtown Clarksville starting at the Clarksville Police Department and going through the downtown area. This year Montgomery County Animal Control will have adoptable dogs at the event for those who wish to walk a dog through half or all of the course.
Runners and walkers are welcome to participate in this event, as are persons with strollers and /or leashed non-aggressive dogs. All participants will receive a premium dry fit race shirt if registered by noon May 1st, 2019. This is not a chipped event and all proceeds will help support the local C.O.P.S. organization.
Volunteers for the event will be representing C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors) which is a 501(c)3 that raises money to assist families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty.

Where do I sign up for my shirt size?   
Registered participants will receive an e mail from Capt Thornton inquiring about shirt sizes.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Free parking in the downtown area.

 Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes.  While no refunds are available, a registered participant who cannot participate can give their ticket to someone who wishes to take their place.  Notify Captain Thornton by e mail of the change as well as the new participant's shirt size.
Are dogs allowed?
Leashed, non-aggressive dogs are allowed and I encourage you to bring them.  We will have plenty of water at the starting point and at the half-way point of the run.
