Rumbullion Education Series - Debut Masterclass on Amari and Herbal Spirits

After ruminating on new educational topics for quite some time, Tonga Tim took the hint from a number of bar guests suggesting curriculum on amari, the bitter and herbal spirits mostly native to Italy. And after toying with some ideas in PowerPoint, this new class poured from Tim's brain like a tipped bottle of Fernet....

This brand new class explores the rarified dark digestif and red apertivi spirits that originated as medicene and preservatives centuries ago, and now hold and honored place in cocktail history. During this class, we will taste the impact of herbal spirits on classic tiki drinks. We will also taste samples of six different herbal spirits, so you can see how they taste before accenting a cocktail.

Our long and trusted friends at Heidelberg Distributing will be on hand to not only feature spirits from their respectable line of amari, but also discuss what makes these so special. This will give you insights on the spirits as we enjoy a flight along with cocktails.
