RUFF - Fall Mulching Event - Rube Nelson Park - Sat. 10/18/25 9:00am
End of the year Mulching Event! Join RUFF and City of Roseville to mulch trees at Rube Nelson Park 10/18/2025 at 9:00.am.
RUFF and The City of Roseville Open Space Division are hosting our last, fall mulching event for the season on Oct. 18, 2025.
The event starts at 9:00 am and goes to 1:00 pm, or earlier if we finish. We'll be at Rube Nelson Park, 1213 S. Bluff Dr. in Roseville, near Foothills Blvd and Pleasant Grove.
We invite individual volunteers or groups to join us. It is a family friendly event!! If you have a group larger than 10 volunteers, please contact us at info@rosevilletree.org.
Our fall and winter events begin at 9:00am. Try to come a little early for registration. We start with a demonstration and instructions. Mulching is not rocket science, but there is a correct way to mulch trees! There are several staff that will be available to help if there are any questions.
RUFF provides tools, gloves, and masks. We have light refreshments and a water cooler available for our volunteers. We suggest bringing your own water bottle, as sometimes it's a little bit of a walk from the water station to where you will be working. We recommend wearing a mask when working with the mulch. We want to prevent breathing in any airborne spores or dust particles.
Volunteers are required to fill out waiver forms. Here is the link to fill out an online version.

We also have hard copies on site and the QR code to the link handy.
Mulch is Magic! Mulch benefits your plants by smothering weeds, inviting helpful earthworms to move in, regulating the temperature of the soil, retaining moisture, providing nutrients and preventing erosion.
