Ruby Mountain At White Lilac
Ruby calls it Mountain Soul Music — and once you hear it, the name makes perfect sense.
A West Virginia native raised on Appalachian roots and classical violin training, Ruby brings together old-time fiddle, country, blues, rock, honky-tonk, and smooth soul into a sound that feels both timeless and completely her own. She began studying violin at age 3, went on to train at West Virginia University, and has spent a lifetime turning that foundation into something wild, warm, and deeply human.
Onstage, Ruby is a force: fiddle-driven, vocally rich, and full of the kind of musical storytelling that pulls a room in close. A multi-instrumentalist and seasoned touring performer, she has released five studio albums, performed more than 1,000 solo shows since 2018, opened for notable artists including Marshall Crenshaw, Wayne Hancock, Scott Miller of The Commonwealth, and The Steel Wheels, and has been featured at Telluride and the Kansas State Fair.
This is Americana with mountain air in its lungs — soulful, skilled, heartfelt, and alive.
Come hear Ruby up close at The White Lilac.
