Join us for an introductory dive into Ruby, a beginner-friendly language used on servers in backend web development (i.e., the stuff that goes on between entering a URL and getting a web page back). In this workshop, we will walk you through the basics of the Ruby language and how to use it to set up a basic web server.

 Anne Spalding: Prior to joining Dev Bootcamp, Anne was a professor of Computer Science at Colorado Mesa University. She brings more than 15 years of experience designing and teaching courses software development, programming, web development and mathematics. Anne thrives on helping people overcome learning obstacles to achieve their goals and she loves that she gets to do that every day here at Dev Bootcamp. Anne is also an avid mountain biker and when she’s not at work, she’s outside getting mud on her face.
