As a part of the latest edition of our annual fiber show, Don't Be Absurd, we're kicking off our first round table talk with Janet Muller, Laeti Adam-Rabel & Amy Llanes. Join us Saturday, October 25th at The CAMP Gallery from 2-4pm for an insightful discussion involving the artist's creative practice and process interpreting this year's theme into their pieces.

About Laeti Adam-Rabel (b. 1978, Haitian - American)

Laetitia “Laeti” Adam-Rabel is a Haitian-American artist who uses various art media to address social and personal issues such as global warming, rising sea levels, blackness, feminism, and inclusion. She uses painting, textile arts, photography, illustration, clothing design, videography, and sound art to portray beauty, while conveying her sometimes painful emotions.

About Janet Mueller (b. 1975, German)

Currently based in Miami Beach, Janet Mueller constrasts serious themes with light-hearted metaphors in her works to create a deeper understanding expanding the importance of the message behind her pieces. Through paintings, scultpures and mixed media, Mueller includes subjects relating but not limited to, poverty, women's issues and mental health.

About Amy Llanes (b. 2001, Cuban)

Expressing vivid colors and fuzzy textures, Amy Llanes works with distintive linework and mixed media to portray feelings that are brought about through disdain with society or experiencing grief.
