About this event

Local residents, wind farm enthusiasts and other interested parties are all invited to visit Rothes Wind Farm for a fantastic day out.

This is a chance to get close up to the turbines, and visitors will be able to take part in fun-filled activities for all ages.

Attendees will be transported by coach to the wind farm. Once there, they will be taken on a magical, and educational, tour of the wind farm site before enjoying a complimentary lunch and refreshments. Activities in our marquee will include a special bee keeping demonstration and tasting from Triskele Honey, alongside crafting activities for children.

About

Fred. Olsen Renewables is one of the longest-standing renewable energy developers in Scotland. Our portfolio consists of 258 operational turbines, alongside a further 75 consented. This, combined with our projects in Norway and Sweden, brings our total operational capacity to 787.7 MW – providing enough power for 586,190 homes.

We are excited about the future. With a pipeline of more than 1GW, central to our success will be collaboration with communities, committing to local businesses and contributing towards Scotland’s sustainable future.

The turbines have been turning at Rothes Wind Farm since 2005. There are currently 40 turbines generating over 92MW – enough electricity to power over 50,000 homes – and delivering more than £1.9m in community benefit to date.
