Welcome to Roots & Rhythms - where cultures collide, stories intertwine, and community comes alive through art.
This isn’t your usual open mic. It’s the first Sydney edition of The Third Space by Umeed Psychology - a community-building event series designed to celebrate creativity, connection, and belonging in fun, wholesome ways. The Third Space is a place between home and work where people come together to express, connect, and belong.
We’re taking over Little Lagos, one of Sydney’s most vibrant Nigerian restaurants, for a night of music, poetry, storytelling, and soul - all set to the rhythm of culture and connection.
The heart of the night? Belonging.
Whether you’re performing or just soaking up the vibe, this is your space to show up as yourself, share your story, and leave with community.
And because no night of culture is complete without food, we’re serving up a special one-night-only South Asian x West African fusion menu curated by Shishir from @table__tok in collaboration with Little Lagos. Expect bold flavours, shared laughter, and a community that feels like home.
