This training focuses on supporting BIPOC to  thrive and survive in marginalizing environments.

&quot;Rooting for You!&quot; will help BIPOC successfully navigate isolating work and learning environments, and also teach them tools to employ to resist oppressive practices and policies in these settings.The objectives of this training are:1. Participants will be given space to first name and then discuss oppressive practices and policies that they encounter in professional settings.2. Participants will reflect on the diversity in experiences among BIPOC in order to identify how workplace and school culture and policies specifically benefit or adversely impact their experiences and practices.3. Participants will learn resilience and resistance skills to employ when encountering oppressive practices and policies in work and learning environments.Co-Founders, Sandra Kalu, LMSW and Ashley Turnbull, M.Ed. will lead this training. Sandra and Ashley both have extensive experience working in multiple systems to affirm the identities of BIPOC, and ensuring that practices and policies are culturally relevant. They started Planting SEEDS with an aim to promote equal access to life success for all people by training leaders and practitioners to proficiency in working with diverse groups of people and assisting individuals with socially and emotionally empowering themselves.
