Root Rake Out - Service Learning Event 

CWRU Office of Energy & Sustainability

Join the Office of Sustainability on Saturday October 14th to help correct improper tree mulching on the quad through a process known as root collar excavation. We will be raking out mulch that is piled around tree trunks to allow for proper growth and health of the tree's roots and trunk base. Your participation will help ensure a long, healthy future for our campus trees! All tools plus muffins and coffee will be provided.
In the event of light rain, we will still meet as planned. However, if thunderstorms occur and we need to move the event to the next day (Sunday the 15th), we will reach out to everyone who has RSVP'd and let you know on Saturday morning that the event has been postponed.
