Rooting, potting, repotting, and transplanting are among the most important — and often most challenging — aspects of successfully growing plumerias. In this hands-on class, Mike shares the proven methods, practical techniques, and hard-earned lessons he has developed through more than 25 years of professional plumeria growing.
This is far more than a lecture. Mike demonstrates each process step-by-step so you can confidently apply these techniques at home with your own plants.
Rooting Plumerias
Rooting is often the most difficult skill for plumeria growers to master. Mike will walk you through his complete rooting process, including the methods, materials, timing, and environmental conditions that greatly improve rooting success rates.
Creating the Right Potting Environment
Healthy plumerias begin with the right foundation. Learn how Mike creates a nutrient-rich, well-balanced environment that encourages strong roots and vigorous growth. He will demonstrate his potting process and discuss the soil mixes, containers, products, and supplies he has found most effective over the years.
Repotting Without Stress
Repotting is a major transition in a plumeria’s life. Mike will demonstrate how to safely move plants into larger containers while minimizing transplant shock and encouraging fast recovery and continued growth.
Transplanting into the Ground
Planting plumerias in the ground requires careful planning and attention to several important factors. Mike will share his proven transplanting techniques to help your plumerias establish successfully and thrive in the landscape over the long term.
