Jessica Starr is a therapist and SEP in private practice in Ohio. Her practice focuses primarily on the crossroads of trauma, embodiment and transpersonal psychology. Jessica also studies and incorporates meditation, energy medicine and shamanic practices into her individual and group work.

A Curated Retreat - All you need to do is register and create a comfy spot at home. We&#x27;ll take care of the rest! Your retreat kit will arrive at your door with all kinds of goodies to support you to deepen your ROOTS during our time together and after. We don&#x27;t want to give away all the fun beforehand but every retreat kit will include:<ul><li>a handmade candle</li><li>ROOT essential oil</li><li>a decadent chocolate treat</li><li>velvet eye pillow</li></ul>Following nature&#x27;s cues, winter is a time to return and tend to our roots. A strong and healthy root system keeps us stable and nourished. If we aren&#x27;t careful, the busyness of modern life, with all its stress and distraction, can easily uproot us and leave us feeling overwhelmed and unsupported. Mirroring the wisdom of Mother Nature we can learn to Rest, Go Within, Receive and Nourish. Knowing how to support ourselves with these tools builds resilience. Tending and nurturing our ROOTS supports deepened presence with ourselves, greater stability in challenge, and expanded energy for growth.During these 3.5 hours, we will come together in community to explore through yoga, movement, meditation, music, expressive arts and more. Get ready to feel grounded, present, supported and recharged at the end of our time together!Activities and Topics Include:<ul><li>Supporting the nervous system with purposeful RESTING, while thoughtfully connecting to our ROOTS.</li><li>Experience the ROOTING power of our feet, legs and hips through playful movement and yoga. </li><li>Breath meditation to explore taking vs RECEIVING.</li><li>RECEIVING NOURISHMENT through our five senses. </li><li>Creative art making to envision your ROOT system</li><li>Yoga to REST, GO WITHIN, RECEIVE and NOURISH.</li></ul>Root is a collaboration between Jessica Starr and Amber Johnson that combines their shared passion for experiential exploration through embodiment, contemplative practices, creative arts, and sacred intention. Together they bring over 40 years of experience in healing modalities including psychotherapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, yoga, meditation, art therapy, energy healing and more.
