About this event
Organized by
Originally formed as The Refreshments in 1996, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers began recording and touring nationally in 1998. Known for their high energy and lengthy rock shows, the band has toured since its inception and continues to connect audiences with their Southwestern style of rock and community. They continue to record and tour nationally today.
The band penned the theme song for King of the Hill as well as hit songs Banditos and Down Together among others.
Beginning in 2000, the band sought fun and tequila by traveling to Puerto Penasco, Mexico, aka Rocky Point located just 3.5 hours south of Phoenix. The fun was shared by about 40 people (including the band), but after many annual visits later, that first show spawned a four day music festival called Circus Mexicus now in its 22nd year. A second weekend dubbed January Jam, now in its 13th year is held each year on MLK Weekend. These weekends galvanize fans of rock n roll from throughout the country and abroad.
