From conceptualization to execution, Avril unveils the nuances of restaurant design, shedding light on the creative challenges, collaborative efforts, and logistical considerations involved in bringing a culinary vision to life.

Bio

Avril Zayas, a Chicago-based interior designer, enjoys imagining, envisioning, and creating environments where people can experience enjoyable and unforgettable moments. With over a decade of experience in restaurant design, Avril's designs always strive to tell a story or transport guests to different geographical or temporal realms, with food and menu acting as the core concept of each establishment.

Born and raised in Mexico City, where she acquired a wide array of architectural and cultural influences, Avril reflects a multicultural approach in her designs. She also allows herself to be influenced by other cultures, incorporating their architectural styles, textures, and colors to enrich and complete her designs.
