Competition of German/international teams in robotic football in 5 vs 5 teams of  autonomous robots.

Visiting Hours are from 09:00 - 18:00 except for shortened days on Thursday and Sunday.All tickets are free, but as the event will be happening under 3G Covid regulations a ticket will be required at entry to be able to ensure capacity.For detailed information about the timetable, teams and the event in general visit <a href="https://gore-event.github.io" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://gore-event.github.io</a>.The event consists of three parts:<ul><li>Live competitions of SPL (Standard Platform League) robot teams</li><li>Livestream of a Humanoid Virtual League finals</li><li>RoboCup Junior Workshop for pupils</li></ul>For all of you, who cannot visit in person the games and event will be streamed to the SPL <a href="https://www.youtube.com/c/RoboCupSPL" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">youtube channel</a>.

Standard Platform LeagueIn the Standard Platform League, soccer is played with a standardized robot platform. This means that all teams use the same hardware and only differ in the software developed. The humanoid robot Nao from the company Softbank Robotics will be used as the standardized platform at this event .The Nao has up to 25 powered joints. Two cameras are integrated in the head to perceive the environment, ultrasonic sensors are located in the chest to measure distance, and there are sensors in the feet to measure ground contact and contact with the ball. Teams consist of five Naos each and an optional trainer robot that can observe the action from the sidelines. The robots play against each other on a 9 x 6 m² playing field and are completely autonomous. However, they can communicate with each other via wifi and receive the decisions of the (human) referee.

Humanoid LeagueSimilarly to the Standard Platform League (SPL) soccer robots competing in the Humanoid League are restricted to human-like senses and proportions. The later is especially relevant as there is no single robot platform but many commercial or team developed ones that fit these requirements.Corona has lead to the development of a simulation environment based on <a href="https://cyberbotics.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Webots</a>, enabling virtual soccer games using the different robot platforms. It was used during the RoboCup 2021 and continues as the foundation of the RoboCup Humanoid League Virtual Season. Giving teams the opportunity to test their code a few months before the in-person event. As it happens the finals are happening on the final day of GORE, Sunday the 17.04.So we will be live streaming both games with live commentary at the venue for you!

RoboCup Junior WorkshopIn this workshop pupils can try their skills at the junior disciplines RescueLine and RescueLine Entry and at the same time get the opportunity to watch RoboCup SPL and Humanoid games. RoboCup Junior is a robotics competition for pupils aged 10 to 19. In the RescueLine and RescueLine Entry disciplines, teams must design and program their robot to perform search and rescue robot tasks such as navigating in unknown space and rescuing victims.The workshop takes place April 15-16 .
