Every last Saturday of the month, prepare to dive into the fascinating world of jazz, in a journey led by Ed Jackson that will allow you to experience the pleasant sensations of life which is hosted by Jackson Room in Queens, New York.
Pianist, trumpeter, vocalist, and composer Robert Silverman has performed with renowned musicians such as Jimmy Heath, Albert King, George Russell, Al Harewood, and Cecil McBee, among others. He has also released 13 CDs under his own name. Over the years, he has received numerous awards and grants for his exceptional compositions.

Robert will have is full band with Chris Anderson on trumpet, Dan Asher on bass, Scott Hamilton on drums and Robert Silverman on piano-vocals with Ed Jackson on alto sax - special guest.
The Jackson Room which is located in the heart of historical Queens, happens to be in the neighborhood where Ed grew up. This particular area of Queens in the town of St Albans, was home to an uncanny number of musicians including Count Basie, Fats Waller, Illinois Jacquet, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, Lenny White to name a few. In fact, John Coltrane lived on Mexico street which is just a few blocks away from the venue.
The Jackson Room has provided Ed Jackson with a chance to fulfill a more personal mission of enhancing Queens’ cultural landscape by bringing jazz back to the community.
