Congratulations on your decision to attend Seton Hall Law!

As you begin planning your transition into Seton Hall Law, we want to ensure that you are fully prepared for your first day of classes. With that in mind, we have planned a unique opportunity to become better acquainted with law school and life as a student at Seton Hall Law.

Because the program is specifically designed to help prepare you for your 1L year (and thus is only available to students who have submitted seat deposits), it is unlike our other admitted student events. This full-day program will provide you with workshops previewing your 1L year and will help you enter law school at ease and prepared. Essential skills for academic success will be explored to get you familiar with legal analysis, critical case reading, and the Socratic Method. You will get the chance to hear from current students about their 1L experience, section assignments will be given out, and you will have the opportunity to get to know some of the faculty and your fellow classmates. As an incoming student, you are strongly encouraged to attend, although the event is not mandatory.

Law school is a lot of work, but our students also have a lot of fun! Following the formal program, we will be hosting a happy hour/reception at Halifax in Hoboken.

We look forward to seeing you on June 20th! If you have any questions about the day, please feel free to contact us at 973-642-8747 or admitme@shu.edu.

The Seton Hall Law Difference - "One Student at a Time"

The phrase "student-centered" can mean many things. At Seton Hall Law it describes our focus on each student as an individual - someone with their own history, responsibilities and aspirations. Our "one student at a time" ethos provides students an opportunity-rich environment in which to curate their own educational and professional experience.
