Logic Pro Workshop: Basic Recording Techniques

This hands-on workshop introduces the fundamentals of recording music using Logic Pro in a simple, approachable way. Participants will learn how to set up a basic recording session using a streamlined two-input interface, making it ideal for beginners who want to start capturing high-quality audio at home or in a small studio setting. The class will cover essential concepts such as configuring inputs, setting proper gain levels, and creating clean, organized sessions that form the foundation of any successful recording project.

In addition to recording basics, the workshop will explore introductory mixing techniques using Logic Pro’s built-in stock plugins. Participants will gain practical experience with EQ, compression, and balance to help their recordings sound clear and polished without feeling overwhelmed by advanced tools. While the class is taught in Logic Pro, the skills and concepts covered—such as signal flow, gain staging, and basic mixing principles—are transferable to other digital audio workstations, making this workshop valuable for anyone working in music production across platforms.
