About the Play:

Cheer for the hero, boo for the villain and sigh for the sweet young thing in this hysterical western comedy inspired by the melodramas and vaudevillian shows of years past. The story takes place right here in Shasta County - French Gulch to be exact - and is chock full of fun and familiar figures, including the infamous Ruggles Brothers, the French Gulch Hotel, colorful cowboys, sultry saloon girls, and the return appearance of that elusive musical phenom: The Oak Bottom Boys! Just in time for the Redding Rodeo, Fowl Play in French Gulch is the perfect addition to your Rodeo month activities. Wear your western duds to get in the spirit, whet yer whistle with the custom cocktails at the bar and prepare to whoop it up at the Riverfront Playhouse in May 2024!
