River Walk Community Design Workshop

The SHADE Institute is a nonprofit public interest design organization. This event is presented by the SHADE Institute in collaboration with the Chinatown Community Center Association, Lum Sai Ho Tong and American Savings Bank.

Come and share your ideas to improve the River Walk area. River Walk includes the College Walk, Sun Yat-sen Mall and A'ala Park areas.
Meet your neighbors, future neighbors, community leaders and SHADE interns.
Help kick off this collaborative effort to start making River Walk a safe, sustainable community space. 
Receive updates on the current and future projects in the area, including the River Walk Market Kiosk Project, from city officials, land owners and SHADE Institute.
Learn about the SEED Evaluator, a global certification program which measures equitable development through Social Economic Environmental Design best practices.
Additional Details: Refreshments will be provided. Parking will be available at the HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union; entrance on Aala Street.
