River Users Co-Design Workshop

River Users Co-Design Workshop

The Lodge HotelColeraine, Northern Ireland
Wednesday, May 27  •  2 PM - 4 PM
Overview

A CFTF workshop for River Users to contribute to the prioritisation of CFTF projects affecting the River Bann corridor in Coleraine

You are invited to join us for a River Users Co‑design Workshop bringing together key river users, partners and local residents to help shape the next stage of investment and delivery along the River Bann corridor in Coleraine.

At the workshop we will:

  • Present feedback from the CFTF community engagement, highlighting how people currently use, value and experience the river, and the issues and opportunities they identified
  • Share the key challenges and priorities emerging from this engagement
  • You told us, we listened - Present initial concept ideas for the development of a 2km stretch of Blueway (this will be a riverside route redeveloped and made easier and safer for people to enjoy, including for walking, cycling, boating, spending time in nature or visiting the area, while also looking after wildlife and the environment).
  • Work collaboratively to refine the Blueways concept and other community priorities into viable projects and programmes for future investment
  • Explore opportunities for joined‑up delivery and partnership working.

The workshop will be interactive, ensuring that community experience and stakeholder knowledge shape how the Blueways concept and other river based ideas are turned into action and how CFTF funding can be best targeted. Your perspective as a river stakeholder and/or local resident would add significant value to this process, and we hope you will be able to join us to help create projects that deliver long‑term lasting benefits for local people, Coleraine and the environment.

If you have any access requirements or would like further information ahead of the session, please get in touch by emailing cftf@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk
