Jill Tremlett Large has worked with survivors of intimate partner abuse since 1998. For five years she coordinated a transitional housing program, and in 2003 she transitioned to the Women’s Independence Scholarship Program (WISP). At WISP she has held several positions including Scholarship Coordinator, Communications Director, and is currently the Alumni Program Director. Her relentless dedication has enabled the organization to meet the growing demands of housing, employment, and overall well-being initiatives. In 2023, she was nationally recognized as Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Remarkable Woman of the Year, lauded for her efforts in bridging tangible gaps within her local community and beyond.
