Do I need to attend a particular church?

No. Women come from many different churches across the Wirral, Chester and Merseyside, and some simply come because they are exploring faith. Everyone is welcome.

What should I expect from the evening?

You can expect a relaxed and uplifting evening with a time of worship, a short message, moments to reflect, and time to connect with other women. Rise gatherings are designed to be encouraging, faith-filled and welcoming.

Whatever you feel comfortable and confident in. Some women like to dress up a little, others come more casually, there’s no dress code.

Doors open at 7PM. We recommend arriving close to this time so you can enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival and enjoy the atmosphere before we begin.

Who is behind Rise?

Rise is a gathering created to encourage and connect women in faith across our region. The evenings endorsed by several local churches are hosted by Bethany Hobbs and a small team who are passionate about creating spaces where women can be strengthened in their faith and encouraged in life.

I’ve never been to Rise before - will it feel awkward?

Not at all. Many women attend for the first time without knowing anyone. The evenings are designed to feel relaxed, welcoming and easy to step into. You’ll quickly feel at home.

We completely understand that life is full. Many women say that taking just one evening out to gather and be encouraged makes a real difference. Rise is designed to be a moment in the busy calendar where you can step out of the noise and be refreshed and refuelled.

You are SO welcome! Rise is a place where women can come exactly as they are. Whether your faith feels strong, uncertain, or somewhere in between, you will find a warm welcome and an encouraging space.
