Ribs & Rods is one of Temple's most popular events brought to you by Don Ringler Chevrolet and Toyota. Ribs & Rods joins the community's love for live music, classic and custom cars, and BBQ, all while supporting our local Ronald McDonald House. To date Ribs & Rods has donated over $75,000 to this fantastic charity and plans to continue this great tradition!
Ribs & Rods is held at the beautiful Bend O the River Ranch, with it's large shade trees and golf course grasses, sure to please any event participant. Ribs & Rods also offers several fun games and events to keep the whole family entertained including amazing bands, kids coloring and pedal car competitions, rib eating contest, and a drive in style movie experience featuring Ferrari!
2023's event brought in over 650 show vehicles, and thousands of spectators. 2023's event is looking forward to the anticipated return of the BBQ cook off featuring 75 of the best cookers in Texas!
Ribs & Rods will be back at Temple's beautiful , Bend O' the River, right off IH35, and to invite you to be part of this spectacular event.

Pre-registration includes a free t-shirt! 2024 pre-registration will close September 1st.
Are pets allowed? Yes, but they must be on a leash. Please clean up after them, and remember Ribs & Rods is a family friendly event with large groups of spectators and children.
Ribs & Rods staff reserve the right to require that ATVs and/or golf carts are parked during peek hours of the event to ensure the safety of our spectators and participants.
Yes. We will have you check in at the registration tent under your name.
No. You will be given a sticker for your windshield. You may come and go as needed. You may also choose to participate in only one of the two days at your discretion.
No. You may register at the gate anytime before 2pm Saturday, October 5th. HOWEVER, preregistered participants receive a free t-shirt as well as early entrance to the venue.
