Project / Event Description

An introduction to the RIBA Part 3 course, alternative routes of obtaining an RIBA part 3 qualification. This free event is arranged and hosted by the RIBA Gulf Chapter, it is an in-person and online event.

Learn about the regional Part 3 course and other routes to chartered membership with Alison Mackinder, Professional Education Programmes Director of RIBA.
As RIBA’s head of Part 3, Alison’s talk will cover an introduction to the Part 3 course RIBA runs through UAE in the region, and other routes towards the same result. This is applicable for any young architects and graduates interested in the varying routes to RIBA chartered membership. It will also cover the registration requirements for anyone who may work in the UK as an architect who has Gulf experience and background.

Please note RIBA Chartered members will now be automatically eligible for Society of Engineers membership (SoE) in the UAE through the recently signed MoU.

Speakers:

Alison Mackinder is a Professional Education Programmes Director at the RIBA.

Alison is a RIBA Chartered Architect and was a partner in a small practice in the UK for many years. In her role as Professional Education Programmes Director she is responsible for the RIBA’s own Part 3 courses in the UK and internationally.

Alison was instrumental in developing the international delivery of the Part 3, initially in Hong Kong followed closely by Dubai and New York.

Her passion is seeing young professionals further their careers through professional education, with a particular focus on international programmes.
