Are we DONE YET doing "Reactive Resilience"?!

Are we done trying to "be resilient (able to bounce back) after challenging situations or under long-term stress" when we COULD be prepared and able to avoid depletion, burn-out and damaging physical and mental health impacts?

Traditional approaches are not sufficient to equip educators, mental health providers, and other types of providers to meet the demands and stressors we all face in today's school and therapeutic environments.

The ability to self-regulate, and to proactively build and sustain one’s resilience is a critical need in today’s society, workplace, interpersonal relationships, and intra-personal well-being.

Whether it be on the professional front, or within the home or social settings, one’s ability to apply the principles of proactive resilience and self-regulation is often the key factor that determines levels of health, wellness, relational wealth, financial wealth, and inner fulfillment.

What will I learn?

Resilience - As defined by the HeartMath Institute®: "The capacity to prepare for, recover from, and adapt in the face of stress, challenge, adversity or trauma".

Based in over 30 years of research and more than 300 studies, a vast majority of which are independent studies, The HeartMath® Institute’s systems for which Bowman Consulting are Certified Trainers provide simple, practical, and time-sensitive strategies proven to accomplish results in all of the following areas:

  • Intelligent Energy Management
  • HRV-Coherence – Optimal Physiological, Emotional and Cognitive State
  • Self-Regulation – Repatterning of the nervous system to a calmer, more level baseline
  • Health – Optimal physical health and physical performance

This workshop-style training is intended for educators & mental health providers - administrators, classroom teachers, school counselors, educational assistants, etc.

Participants will experience a combination of didactic instruction, visuals, and examples, followed by hands-on creation of a plan to take back to their particular setting to implement with students who struggle due to trauma impacts or other causes of chronic challenging behavior.
